Recruiting practices

Divisions come in all shapes and sizes and initially recruitment targets will be based on achieving a relative distribution of 22% of practices in each state participating in the Program. In most cases we expect that the total practice target will be achieved through approximately half of the target participating in state based wave(s), and half in locally based waves. However, as targets will be based on relative distribution, there will be some negotiation around actual participation in state, local and virtual waves.

After we’ve agreed on a recruitment target, your Division can work towards recruiting practices. A best case scenario is that about 50% of recruited practices participate in state waves, and the remaining 50% are spread across local and virtual waves. Initially, the focus for recruitment will be on practices attending the state based learning workshops, then we work with you to establish local waves run by your Division.

There will be three waves in NSW which will provide flexibility for both Divisions and practices. These waves will be attended by practices form NSW, QLD and the ACT. Depending on the number of expressions of interest from practices, a Division might choose participate in one state wave, or all three, and there are many combinations of state and local waves.

You’ll support IFA national and state-based marketing and promotion initiatives through promotional activity at the Division.  We will provide you with practice recruitment materials, such as brochures, direct mail devices and other marketing materials to ensure your Practices are informed about all aspects of the APCC Program. IFA will also provide training and development to agreed Division staff who will then lead the recruitment process from within your Division.

What IF my Division wants to register practices over and above our agreed allocation?
Additional practices are welcome to participate in the Program, however the Program is unable to fund any additional practices. The marginal cost for two participants from a practice to attend an orientation day and three state learning workshops is $2,400 (excluding travel, accommodation and practice level support required from the Division). If through local arrangements the cost of participation can be funded via other means (including practices self funding) and your Division can provide support for the additional practices, then additional participation is possible. This is subject to overall wave capacity, but at this stage there remains reasonable capacity for additional participation.
