Training and Support for Divisions

Training for Division staff

All of the practice support staff in your Division will have the opportunity to participate in training about the Program and Quality Improvement skills. Who actually takes part in the training will be pre-agreed with the Division because in some cases, not all staff will require, or be able to attend training. The training and development opportunities will help your Division’s practice support team build capacity for supporting Quality Improvement activities in your general practice community.

Training for your Divisional Support Staff will be delivered on a state by state basis with the SBO. The timeline for each state is likely to vary and the state training agenda will be announced once it has been confirmed with the SBO. In addition, IFA will work with your State Based Organisation (SBO) to ensure that they can provide ongoing local support for participating Divisions within the Program.

A primary point of contact at the Division
Each Division will nominate a primary point of contact for Program purposes. This person will provide a liaison, leadership and coordination role for practices participating in the APCC Program. This person may be nominated from within the Division’s existing practice support team, or newly employed, and their Program work is fully funded by IFA. This person will be the lead support for the Program within the Division and a main contact person for practices, IFA, and the SBO.

Program training for Division primary contacts will be delivered prior to the beginning of each wave and will consist of a 2-3 day workshop. We are yet to confirm whether these workshops will be run across three consecutive days or split into 3 single day workshops.

Marketing support
You’ll support IFA national and state-based marketing and promotion initiatives through promotional activity at the Division.  We will provide you with practice recruitment materials, such as brochures, direct mail devices and other marketing materials to ensure your Practices are informed about all aspects of the APCC Program. IFA will also provide training and development to agreed Division staff who will then lead the recruitment process from within your Division.
