Clinical Practice Software - Compatibility with APCC Program
We often receive calls for information about whether various common clinical practice software products (software) can report on the clinical measures (measures) required under the Collaborative Program. In response to such queries we have prepared this information sheet to assist current and potential participants of the APCC Program.
This information sheet sets out our current understanding of the ability of common software products to report the measures. We have prepared this information sheet based on feedback from participants in the APCC Program however, we have not conducted comprehensive testing on the software products ourselves. As such, the following is only a general guide and you should not rely on it as being complete, accurate or up to date. You should make your own enquires about the ability of any software product to report the measures with the relevant software vendor.
By providing this information sheet the APCC Program does not seek to endorse any particular software product or software upgrade.
Table 1 below lists software products which participants in the APCC Program report as having the ability (whether in built or through currently available upgrades) to report the CHD and Diabetes measures.
Table 2 below lists software products which are compatible with the APCC Data Extraction tool. This tool has been developed as a third party tool to report measures by interrogating the software.
The APCC Program acknowledges the efforts of software vendors, either in their early software design or subsequent work, to develop software that has the capacity to produce the required measures for the Australian Primary Care Collaboratives Program.
